Notes
- The ever-reliable John Fletcher Music is the only site that provides rehearsal aids for all of these pieces. A login is required, and the works still in copyright require a Premium (paid) subscription. More details below.
- Some pieces also have YouTube videos of each part. (You may find other rehearsal aids by using a search engine. Do avoid Choralia though, as it is littered with spam & ads).
- The YouTube performance is just one arbitrary example in the right key, from the many available. Again, use a search engine to find other performances if you like.
- If you are practising the Vaughan Williams, learn the sections marked Full Chorus and Both Choruses. These are covered in John Fletcher Music files with Ch.2 (Choir 2) in the name. Ignore the Ch.1 files, which relate only to the semi-chorus.
John Fletcher Music details
- The out-of-copyright works can be accessed for free; you must still login. The copyright works required a Premium account (currently £4.60 for 4 months.) Sign up for either type of account here.
- All of the Free files + Vaughan Williams use an older player, based on a service called Dropbox. To use this: Click on "Click here for the sound files" then click on your part (only use files that end in .mp3) and press play. To download, click on the download symbol top right, and choose "Or continue with download only" at the bottom - don't log in or sign up!
- The other Premium files use a new, simpler player. Click on your part below the play button, then click play (or the three dots next to your part to download)
