Act as a conduit between the section and the Music Director and/or the Management Committee
RESPONSIBILITES
Consider recommending sectional rehearsals.
When and where appropriate, support an individual member of the section, signposting to sources of advice and guidance.
Work closely with the Membership Secretary, with particular reference to ensuring section members sign the weekly rehearsal signing-in sheets, the concert sign-up sheets, and the register on concert days.
Support the MD and Management Committee in their decisions and assist in the decision-making process.
REQUIREMENTS
Interpersonal and communication skills – able to be understanding and empathetic.
Be a trusted representative to give section members confidence that he/she will deal with any issues sensitively.
Able to give supportive and constructive feedback, and to support the Music Director when his direct feedback to an individual member is considered more appropriate.
